Its getting chill out very fast. The forecast says Tokyo will be experiencing a stone cold winter this year. Watching forecasts like this prompted me to hunt down the perfect coat to keep myself snug and warm. There is no doubt that military wear (p-coats, duffle coats, trench coats) steals the show every year and there at it again. I choose a few that are along the lines of this trend and a few striking pieces.
I think all the coats above are about pure aesthetics. Thought, they all range in different price ranges, what is common in all is beautiful cutting and tailoring. The Bottega Veneta piece (out of my range) is tailored perfectly. It has a velvet fabric on the collar, cuffs and on the flap pockets. Just amazing! The Black Fleece piece is just eye catching. It combine traditional details (belt on the back!) and an amazingly deep center vent. The kitsune's collaboration with mackintosh is a mixture of tradition with street and a blend of kitsune elegance. The latter pieces are more realistic for me. Although, the two pieces are lower on the pricing range, they are fantastically balanced. (I mean the price and design) The Rugby pea-coat looks like an authentic one however, it's side-vented meaning your stride in the city can be some what close to the Italian gentlemen at Pitti Uomo. Also the noteworthy collaboration with Jil Sander and Uniqlo has launched a beautiful coat which, is affordable. I just love the color of this coat and, is listed on top of my wish list.

Again, military wear takes advantage this season for women's. I love the elegance and twist kitsune portrayed with the authentic trench coat. The red pea coat is wonderful and, in this, you would standout in the crowd. The coat by Stella McCartney is a great idea where the body is a traditional men's wear inspired chesterfield coat but, has an enormous and lowered collar. Love the color too! The innovative Japanese brand, Beautiful People have succeeded in combining two big trends for women (mouton and camel color) in one. Finally, the Rugby coat is affordable in price, sturdy and as a bit of twist. Its a pea coat but has a cutting of a napoleon jacket. Not to mention, the color combo of navy with gold buttons, projects the authentic campus mood.
