Illuminated - Shinjuku

You probably noticed that these objects are made out of pet bottles and L.E.D. Love the ECO vibe.

I drove out to Shinjuku with my friend and enjoyed an espresso at Paul Bassett (2006 barista champ). The illumination was wonderful, I mean people need to thank these places for making a scene. It surprised me that people walking around Tokyo didn't seem to appreciate the illumination. We only encounter a trio of girl who expressed their delights!

I was able to buy the +J coat mentioned in my earlier posts. It's a great charcoal coat, with peaked lapels and a super trim fit. I love the fact that it has a change pocket (an extra flap-pocket above the ordinary flap pocket on the front).
Oh, yeah! I bet the news is around but, I couldn't resist to mention that the 2010 CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund winners were announced. Billy Reid received the prestige award, Prabal Gurung and Eddie Borgo were announced runners-up.  Billy Reid had received the 2010 GQ/CFDA award earlier this year as well. His clothes are based on the traditional American wear with a modern trim fit and an essence of the South. (the brand is based in the southern region of the U.S) It's like a non-distressed version of RRL but with a Thom Browne like sizing. Unfortunately, he isn't very famous in Japan and there are no stockist here. I guess this news will push the Japanese buyer's and stores to stock up Billy Reid.... very interesting to see which store will be the first.
